A typical Christmas tree will take 8 to 10 years to grow to 6 foot, once trees reach their max height in their pot, they can retire and be planted out in our field to carry on growing and taking out CO2 from the atmosphere
We believe the current waste produced by the dumping of cut Christmas trees simply cannot go on.
Of the estimated 8 million cut trees bought each Christmas, 6 million will go to landfill. They release methane into the atmosphere when they decompose which is a lot more harmful than Carbon Dioxide.
Other trees are used for wood chips or are simply burnt.
If left on a landfill site, it will release 16kg of CO2.
Remember that there is no Planet B and we all have to do more to look after our world.
